Dr. Dornbach-Bender earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Texas in 2021. She completed a predoctoral internship at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) as well as a postdoctoral residency with a specialization in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) at SLVHCS. She is currently licensed in Louisiana.
Dr. Dornbach-Bender specializes in treating adults and adolescents with depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. She has expertise in treating PTSD related to a wide range of traumas, including sexual trauma and other violent crimes. She is nationally certified in multiple evidence-based psychotherapies, including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Written Exposure Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. In addition to therapy services, she conducts thorough diagnostic evaluations for mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders.
Dr. Dornbach-Bender’s clinical approach prioritizes the use of evidence-based treatments to effectively and efficiently reduce symptoms. Her goal is to provide patients with coping skills and tools that will help them reach their goals.
Outside of work, Dr. Dornbach-Bender enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with her two dogs, and cooking new recipes.
